Mother’s Rugby kicked off Match Day 2 with a win against Columbia 34-7.  UMW Last played Columbia in 15’s in 2011, traveling up to NYC to defeat D1 Columbia  20-5 during a notable 2011 season.

Mother’s up 14-5 at half! Mother’s win 26-10, making many Alumni very happy in the process. [Update: Per Head Coach Tyler Stephens the official had trouble with addition and scored it 24-10]

Next up NC State at 2:20!

Mother’s downs a game NC state 19-12,  “Scary” Harry Masters with 2, Gallagher with the other.

Next up a strong ODU 7s program in the Semi’s, Mother’s is in position to capture up to 3 points, a win over ODU guarantees a minimum of 2 points. JMU, who is currently second in the CRCC 7’s table, qualified for the other semi final against Maryland. Potentially a 3rd matchup is three weeks in the final!

Mother’s win 33-12 vs ODU, crucial goal line steal in the second half blew the game open. Nice job boys!

Next up JMU in the finals …. Rematch of last week! UMW with a win would go 2 points clear of JMU in the overall standings. A loss and they are tied for first place at 5 points a piece. A win today would put UMW in pole position heading into week three (March 23rd) which we host!
