Like many smaller schools, like UMW, Wheeling Jesuit has been facing funding cuts. They changed their name to Wheeling University and made deep cuts across undergraduate programs for this fall. When a small school team folds it highlights the resilience of Mother’s Rugby through the years in light of limited discretionary funding relative to other varsity teams.
